An incident, initially classified as homicide, is under judicial investigation to determine if it was an act of self-defense. According to the Argentine News Agency (Agencia Noticias Argentinas), citing a report on La Realidad Online, the event took place at a house on Alfonsina Storni street at 2300, where police officers were dispatched following an alert call. Upon entering the residence, officers found Juan Maximiliano Molina, 35, dead inside with "deep cuts on his chest and face" caused by a bladed weapon. Minutes later, officers identified Laura R., also 35 and the victim's partner, at the same location, who had traces of blood on her. According to her testimony, during the scuffle, she ran to the kitchen, grabbed a Tramontina knife, and stabbed him to "defend herself". The incident occurred on Alfonsina Storni street at 2300, in Lomas de Zamora. Although the woman claimed self-defense, she was apprehended at the scene. The case has been filed at the UFI Nº 9 in Lomas de Zamora, which will investigate whether it was "self-defense in a case of violence or if we are facing a homicide aggravated by the relationship". Forensic examinations, injury reports, and witness testimonies from neighbors are expected to clarify the events leading up to the tragic outcome. The woman told police that minutes before the fatal incident, the deceased had "physically and verbally assaulted her".
